Artie's Tempe Burgers are made with organic soy beans in Gainesville, FL
This artisan tempeh is more simular to the original indonesian product than the commonly available, commercial tempeh. We do not pasturize our tempeh, therefore, when you are preparing Artie's Tempeh in you favorite recipe, you are using a living, whole food.
We use only non-GMO, organic soybeans from the Grain Place Farm Cooperative. We believe that they are one of the oldest and most respected organic food co-ops in America.
In the kitchen, tempeh is often prepared by cutting it into pieces. Cooked tempeh can be eaten alone, or used in chili, stir frys, soups, salads, sandwiches, and stews. Tempeh has a complex flavor that has been described as nutty, meaty, and mushroom-like.
